The Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs and its missions handle personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of the Republic of Kenya and applicable Government of Kenya data-protection policies.
What we collect
We collect personal information only when you submit it to us — for example, when applying for a consular service, making an enquiry, booking an appointment, or registering with a mission as part of the diaspora community register.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to deliver the service you have requested, to communicate with you about that service, to maintain accurate records as required by Kenyan law, and to reach you with travel advisories or emergency communication where relevant.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, and to request deletion subject to legal retention obligations. To exercise these rights, write to the relevant mission via its Contact page or to the Ministry directly.
